Aluminium powder along with fly ash, cement, lime and gypsum is mixed in high speed and Automatic batch mixer resulting in AAC slurry, which is poured into mould. Reaction of aluminium with lime, water, silica releases hydrogen gas (H2) when escapes from slurry, it rises to give porous structured to calcium silica Hydrate (C-S-H, concrete). This risen cake is cut into blocks of require sizes by wire cutting machine, which are again steam cured under high temperature 210° C and pressure 12 kg. in autoclave for 10 to 12 hours. AAC is a long proven material. AAC blocks are used in a wide range of commercial, industrial and residential application and has been in use in Europe over 90 years, the Middle East for the past 40 Years and in America and Australia for 25 years. It's an estimate that AAC now account for over 40% of all construction in UK and more than 60% of construction in Germany. In India production of AAC blocks started in 1972."
